What an insanely pleasant day on the lake. Beautiful fall weather, great fall light, about 75°, winds about 5-10kts, very few boats on the lake and, at one point, more sailboats than power boats!!
Investigated the far end of the lake and found there are quite a few spots we could anchor close to the beach to spend the night, so we’re hoping to get one good overnight there before the season ends.
Wind was surprisingly steady for Redfish, allowed some reasonable tacking up-lake and — after motor sailing around the very far end of the lake to investigate — a nice wing and wing (love the whisker pole) downwind run back to our anchorage… here’s (most of the) GPS track overlayed on a topo:
